2017 SUMMER ACTIVITIES Discover our Historical and Natural Heritage |
Walk on the northwest slope of Hogback mountain to reach the mining site of rich and diversified ore from which copper was extracted, circa 1900 to 1915. Then visit the Burbank cemetery which is the resting place of Colonel William Burbank 1805-1885 and his wife Emily. Meet on 296 chemin Étang Sugar Loaf. Following there will be a BBQ at Carol’s place, 52 Hilmar-Krausser. Cost: $10, bring your own beverage. Reservations: Carol 450-292-4844, before the 27th of May.

Guided tour on Lake Memphremagog from Sargent’s Bay to near Newport with a stop at Georgeville warf.We will see many of the islands. Duration: 3 hours. From Vale Perkins Landing there are two departures at 9 am and 1 pm on a catamaran [Photo gallery] that accommodates 12 people. Compulsory Passport. Cost: $40. Bring your lunch and beverage. Visit the Heritage Booth at the Multicultural Festival. Enter our photography contest – “The Flowers of Potton” [Check heritagepotton.org for contest rules].
One of our most popular events… our corn roast on the shores of Lake Memphremagog, at the Municipal beach at Perkins Landing. Bring a salad or dessert to share. Bring your own beverage and water, if desired, along with your place setting and glass. Reservations are required for menu coordination. Call Janine at 450-292-3780.

Walk in Potton Springs, discovered in 1828, known internationally for their therapeutic properties, hence the building of the Potton Springs Hotel to accommodate world travelers. Guide: Gérard Leduc.
