Sunday, May 15th, 1:30 pm
lecture
Our President, Sandra Jewett, will present a talk entitled “A Community in Distress – The Typhoid Epidemic of 1923”, an event in which 205 citizens were afflicted and sixteen died. Presentation in French; however questions will be answered in French and in English. A light lunch will follow the lecture. Free admission. For information call Janine 450-292-3780.

Saturday, June 11th, 2 pm [Please note the time in afternoon]

Guided visit to Miltimore cemetery at the corner of Miltimore Road and Route 243 South; then a walk to Chapel Hill cemetery. The history of the people who lived in that area will be told by Sandra Jewett. Following there will be a BBQ at Carol’s place, 52 Hilmar-Krausser. Cost $10, bring your own beverage. Enjoy a walk along an ancestral road; duration about 1 hour. Then picnic by a pond at Anne-Lise and Hubert’s home. Bring your lunch and beverage, and chair and bathing suit. Meet at 57 Miltimore. Reservations with Janine: 450-292-3780.

Walk in the woods. Learn how nature is restorative and therapeutic. Bernadette Rey will guide us in the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku (literally forest bathing). This practice is known to enhance the immune system. Meet at Beatrice and Karsten’s place : 418 Leadville. Cost $ 10. Bring your lunch and beverage, and chair and bathing suit. Tuesday, July 19th, 10 am

Visit to the Walbridge dodecagonal barn on chemin de Mystic in Saint-Ignace-de-Stanbridge. This barn is one of the exhibition sites of the Musée Missisquoi along with the Cornell mill and the Hodge General store, that are situated in Stanbridge East which is 6 km from the barn. Possibility of picnicking on site, so bring your lunch. Entrance fee of $ 8. Meet in the parking lot in Mansonville, near the CIBC, for car pool. Walk in the forest along a creek in Saint-Étienne-de-Bolton. Meet in the Municipal Parking (rue du Parc). Your guide Frank Ruiz.
Please inform Frank (450-292-3542) if you whish to have lunch at Bistro Coop du Grand Bois.

Saturday, September 3rd, 1 pm

One of our most popular events… our corn roast on the shores of Lake Memphremagog, at the Municipal beach at Perkins Landing.  Bring a salad or dessert to share. Bring your own beverage and water, if desired, along with your place setting and glass. Duration, around 3 hours.
Reservations are required for menu coordination. Call Janine at 450-292-3780.
