All members are invited to the 28th Annual General Assembly of Potton Heritage Association convened for Sunday, March 25, 2018 at 10 a.m. in the Town Hall in Mansonville. [ View Agenda ] You are cordially invited to join in a potluck meal at the conclusion of the Meeting, around 12:30 pm. Bring a dish to share and your preferred beverage.  Ham, salmon, cheese, tea and coffee will be provided. Please confirm your presence before March 15, 2018.   On line reservations

Winter solstice at the summit of Owl’s Head.
Leader: Pierre Bastien. Meet at chairlift at 6:45 am sharp.
Cost of chairlift: $15 (Free for owners of a day or season ski pass).
Schedule 6:30 am if you need to buy a ticket. Buffet breakfast at 8 am: cost of $15 tax included.
On line reservations before December 19th. This activity is weather dependent.

Easy to intermediate snowshoe excursion in the woods in Saint-Étienne de Bolton.
Meet at Municipal Parking (rue du Parc).
Lunch around 2 pm at Bistro Coop du Grand Bois, 12 rue Principale.
Cost $13 tax not included. Wine and beer available.

Saturday, January 13th, 12 noon [Please note the schedule in the afternoon]

Easy to intermediate snowshoeing in the woods.
Meet at Le Petit Randonneur inn and restaurant at 751, route de Mansonville.
Lunch around 2 pm. Cost of lunch: $13 tax not included.
Wine and beer available. On line reservations  (max. 40 people).

Saturday, January 20th, 1:30 pm [Please note the schedule in the afternoon]

Easy snowshoeing on Sugar Loaf and Elephantis Mountains.
Meet at 50, chemin Hilmar-Krausser. Scottish flavour in honour of poet Robbie Burns.
Hosts: Diane and Michael, 450-292-4432 (max. 35 people).

Snowshoeing on Mount Bear, chalenging and easy level.
Meet at 15, chemin Maurice-Côté
Car pool for excursion to 41, chemin du Mont Bear at Danielle and Peter’s place.
Lunch will take place at 15 chemin Maurice-Côté.

Easy snowshoeing on the trails near the Missisquoi river.
Opportunity to visit the safe sanctuary for farm animals in the Eastern Townships. Founder, Catherine Gagnieux will give a tour of the animal shelters. Meet at 508, route de Mansonville
Lunch around 2 pm at Bistro Chouette, 304, rue Principale, Mansonville
Cost: $13.00 tax not included; wine and beer available.
On line reservations  (max.25 people).

Notes

  • Excursions are free of charge to Association members, $5 required from non-members.
  • Excursions are cancelled if weather is inclement.
  • Meal charge after excursion in private homes: $10 each, member and guest, to defray cost of hosting the group.
  • Please be kind enough to make reservations for lunch in a private home, since space is limited. Also, in the case of cancellations, please let your host know at least 2 days in advance, failing which you will be required to pay your host. If you’re not able to attend, perhaps others could take your place.
