{"id":2408,"date":"2017-05-12T22:17:31","date_gmt":"2017-05-13T02:17:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pottonheritage.org\/?page_id=2408"},"modified":"2017-05-12T22:18:30","modified_gmt":"2017-05-13T02:18:30","slug":"2017-photography-contest","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/pottonheritage.org\/?page_id=2408","title":{"rendered":"2017 Photography Contest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2409 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/pottonheritage.org\/wpe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Photo_contest_2017_Page_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1786\" height=\"1338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pottonheritage.org\/wpe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Photo_contest_2017_Page_1.jpg 1786w, https:\/\/pottonheritage.org\/wpe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Photo_contest_2017_Page_1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pottonheritage.org\/wpe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Photo_contest_2017_Page_1-768x575.jpg 768w, https:\/\/pottonheritage.org\/wpe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Photo_contest_2017_Page_1-1024x767.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1786px) 100vw, 1786px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The 2017 Photography Contest, sponsored by the Potton Heritage Association, will be held during Potton\u2019s Multicultural Festival (FMP), which begins on August 12<sup>th<\/sup> , 2017.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>The theme for 2017 : <em>The Flowers of Potton<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Photograph the flowers of Potton:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>spring or summer flowers;<\/li>\n<li>wild or cultivated;<\/li>\n<li>water flowers or wildflowers;<\/li>\n<li>in a group or alone;<\/li>\n<li>in a rock garden or near a fence;<\/li>\n<li>&#8230; the choice is vast.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Limitation<\/strong>: No person, child or adult, should appear on the photographs due to their publication in public and on our website.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Rules adopted by the Board of Directors<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The contest is open to all, resident of Potton or not. The members of the Board of Potton Heritage, their spouses and children are eligible to participate, given the symbolic nature of the prizes awarded.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Photos must have been taken in the Township of Potton.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Each contestant may submit a maximum of five (5) photographs in printed form. Since display space at the Festival is limited, the Association reserves the right to reduce the number of photographs displayed per entry.&nbsp; If this is necessary, the contestant will decide which to display.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Printed photographs may be either in 8 x 10\u2019\u2019 or 8 x 12\u2019\u2019format; and may be either in black and white, or colour.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Each entry must be clearly identified on the back with the photographer\u2019s name, telephone number, e-mail, and mailing address, in addition to the name of the subject and where the photo was taken.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">To be included in the contest, printed copies of all entries must be sent to the Potton Heritage Association, C.P. 262, Mansonville, Qc J0E 1X0; or handed to Robert Joli, 282 chemin Leadville, Mansonville, Qu\u00e9bec J0E 1X0 [450-292-0569]&nbsp; at the latest one (1) week prior to the FMP, August 5, 2017.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Printed photographs will be returned after the contest<span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">,<\/span> by simply asking Robert Joli.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Association will also accept digital photos for publication on the Association\u2019s website. Only those in jpg. format that do not surpass 2Mo will be accepted for publication. These photos must be sent to the following e mail address<br \/>\n<a href=\"mailto:concoursphoto@patrimoinepotton.org\">concoursphoto@patrimoinepotton.org<\/a><br \/>\nor by USB stick to Robert Joli.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Please note that digital format is optional.
